Hyderabad: Vice President of India CP Radhakrishnan, along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, inaugurated the newly built PAC-5 complex Tirumala on Thursday. Constructed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at a cost of ₹102 crore, the facility spans 2,69,617 square feet and enhances convenience for visiting pilgrims.
The complex includes 16 dormitories, each featuring a mother-feeding chamber. It also houses a Kalyanakatta and an Annaprasadam hall. In total, PAC-5 offers 2,400 safety lockers, 216 toilets, and 216 bathrooms. Among them, 12 are specially designed for persons with disabilities. Moreover, all washrooms provide 24/7 hot water access.
In addition, each floor is equipped with a high-speed RO water system. Ten elevators have also been installed to improve accessibility. The Vice President and Chief Minister toured key areas, including the tonsuring section, locker allocation system, and AI-enabled waste sorting units.
These smart machines allow pilgrims to dispose of tetra packs and snack wrappers through QR or UPI login. Officials noted that the technology streamlines waste disposal and promotes cleanliness.
At Srivari Potu, the leaders inaugurated vision-based sorting machines for prasadam preparation. These double-chute units, developed by Genn Solutions and donated by the TVS Group, help remove impurities from ingredients. Consequently, the quality of laddus and other offerings will improve.
TTD Trust Board Chairman B.R. Naidu, Executive Officer A.K. Singhal, JEO Veerabrahmam, CVSO Muralikrishna, CE Satyanarayana, and board members accompanied the dignitaries during the inspection.
Earlier, the Vice President, his family, and CM Naidu visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. On arrival at the Mahadwaram, temple priests welcomed them with ‘Isthika Phal’ honours, accompanied by Vedic chanting.
Later, at the Ranganayakula Mandapam, Vedic scholars performed Vedaseervachanam. TTD officials presented the Vice President with Theertha Prasadam, the 2026 calendar and diary, and a laminated image of Lord Venkateswara.
