Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Sunday signed memorandums of understanding with six NGOs to provide free, tech-based teaching services in government schools. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was present at the signing ceremony.

The partnerships aim to equip government schools with advanced education technology. Participating NGOs include Nandan Nilekani’s EkStep Foundation, Prajwala Foundation led by Dr. Sunitha Krishnan, Alakh Pandey’s Physics Wala, Khan Academy, Shoaib Dar’s Pi Jam Foundation, and Safina Hussain’s Educate Girls.

Officials said the state took the step in line with the Chief Minister’s push to raise academic standards by drawing on national and international expertise.

EkStep, already active in 540 schools, will now expand to 5,000 primary schools across all 33 districts. The foundation will provide Telugu, English, and Maths instruction for Classes 3 to 5 through its AI-based platform.
